Project Goals
The immediate goals of this project are the creation of a collection of samples for a further definition of this group.
Acceptance to this group will be either by a positive result for L38/S154, L39/S155, L40/S156, or L65/S159, or by STR values that match the strong modality for this group. This would be DYS455 = 10, DYS454 = 12, and 19-19 at YCA.
For the long term goals I would love to see the discovery of SNP's which would define the various sub-groups that are seen in the STR values. Perhaps we'll be lucky and see a result that separates out the positive test results for L38, L39, and L40.
The process of collecting articles related to us and posting them here at the site has also begun.
