Clann O'Hannon and the Ó hAnnáin Sept Association have organized this Surname Project to help those with a Hannon/Hannan or other variant spelling surname, find a common ancestor.
Males with the Hannon/Hannan paternal variant surname should consider the Y-DNA test, while both females and males (with Hannon/Hannan ancestors) should consider the mtDNA test for help in determining their ancestral maternal DNA haplogroups.
