Project Background
This is a Y-DNA project for the surname Hannigan and spelling variants. Hannigan is a not-so-common Irish surname and may have originated with a small number of founders. The two matching Hannigan Y-signatures, displayed in the table below, are from the Rathdowney area of Co Laois (formerly Queens County).
