The Surname of the emigrant ancestor of the Ham(b)rick family is uncertain. 2006 test of 67 Loci on a Berti O'hAinmhire-Hanberry who lives in County Galway, Ireland closely match 61/67 of the Hamrick DNA in the United States. This suggests that the ancestors of the Hanberry family in Ireland were the same ancestors of the Hamrick emigrant who came to this country in 1699.
