Many researchers have been studying the lineage of various HATTAWAY/HADDAWAY/HATHAWAY lines for years. In some cases, we have reached dead ends with the paper trail. We have started this project to try to move beyond paper.

Note from Admin: It is with great regret that I have resigned as Hattaway Y-DNA Project Admin. This Project will be without an admin with immediate effect.

Any prospective Hattaways who wish to join this surname project are advised to join the HATHAWAY Y-DNA Project instead (which also covers Hattaway). The Hathaway Project remains active and continues to grow.

The vast majority of existing Hattaway Project members have inactive for at least one year (to date). Existing Hattaway Project members are also advised to join the Hathaway Y-DNA Project, if they are not already members.
