Thomas Greenwade, circa 1800 in Allegany County, MD and Hampshire County, WV, is the first known member of the Greenwade Families found in America.  All Greenwade families in America are descended from him.

Thomas Greenwade was also known as Thomas GREENWOOD, born in Marsham, England in 1755.
