About us
This project began from a desire to prove or disprove
conclusively whether a person was an uncle of a member. The uncles existence was previously unknown to any of the descendants, including the uncles own brothers and sisters, until recently. DNA tests have now provided the proof of the relationship through a 100 percent marker match.
Since then, other Friess descendants of the earliest known Friess in the 1600s have expressed interest in taking tests to confirm by DNA what we have established through documentation, to confirm suspected branch relationships and find presently unknown ones.
