Background
The Fiol surname is found in both Jewish and Iberian non-Jewish populations. Some Ashkenazi Jewish families have an oral history of Sephardic origins. Some Iberian families wonder if they were previously Sephardic Jews. We hope this project will help provide some answers to these questions.
