Fell Y-DNA Surname Project

The goal of the Fell Y-DNA Surname Project is to identify Fell families of English, Scottish and Irish origin and determine whether the different family groups share common ancestors.  Known family groups include the Fells of Dalton Gate, the Fells of Swathmore Hall, the Fells of Longlands and the Fells of Lismore.  Other family groups will likely be identified and a prospective participant does not need to identify with one of the known groups to join the surname study.
