Background
The ERBLAND surname project is designed to find genetic links between Erbland/Apland males world-wide. Because this project uses Y-DNA testing, females (who do not carry the Y chromosome) can only participate via a male surrogate who bears the Erbland or Apland surname. For example, the female could ask her father, brother or a known male cousin, who bears the Erbland/Apland surname, to get tested on her behalf.
Contributions to the
Erbland Surname Project's General Fund are always welcome. Financial support helps recruit new participants and/or finances upgrade tests for Erbland/Apland people who would otherwise not do so.
