We have STR (short tandem repeat) analyses of the Y-chromosome DNA of Andrew Durie of Durie, and Dr. Bruce Durie.
The tests were performed by Relative Genetics via Ancestry.com
They have been "normalised" for FamilyTreeDNA (ftDNA) standards, and uploaded into Y-Search and Y-Base.

Although both Andrew Durie (R1b) and Bruce Durie (I1a2b1) descend from the original Durie line, there has been a break in the Y-chromosome inheritance in both lines, due to both lines potentially ending in female heiress.
