Project Background
The Dawkins name originally hailed from sixe main locations in the United Kingdom. Essex, Hampshire, Lincolnshire, London, Pembrokeshire in South Wales and Wiltshire. There were also a number at one time in North Devon, these may be connected with the Pembroke Dawkins. Over the years the name has migrated to many other locations within the UK and to overseas to places like Australia, South Africa and North America & Carribean.
