About us

In 1983, our Cullivan family learned the name of the Irish townland from which our immigrant ancestor came. We were one of the lucky ones: this ancestor had sixteen children born of two wives, and the youngest son recalled sending letters to his cousin in Aghalackan, County Cavan, Ireland. In the course of my genealogy hobby, I have run across Cullivans from Indiana, California, and Texas, to name a few states. These Cullivans didn't have a great-grand-uncle who remembered the old townland. So in the hopes of helping to tie all the Cullivans in the US to those in County Cavan, this project has been started.
