About us
The group provides a place where persons interested in African American ancestry within Clarendon County SC (and surronding areas) can see if their DNA indicates common descent. Though the focus is on determining African American connections, any and all ethnicities are welcome to submit their results. By doing so, perhaps we can re-establish those family lines that the wall of slavery tried to deconstruct, regardless of race or ethnicity.
For male lineages, Y-DNA results of 25 markers or higher is preferred, but not required. Only males may test this test.
Female lineages require the mtDNA tests. Males and females can take this test.
