Background
Just like the Chew surname, the "Y" chromsome is passed from father to son unchanged. Testing the "Y" chromsome will provide a generic finger print for comparison. This fingerprint will determine if we are related. A simple 12 marker test is sufficient to prove two participants are related. Additional marker tests can be used to find our Most Recent Common Ancestor (MRCA).
