By setting up a Family Reconstruction Project at Family Tree DNA, the CRAIN/CRANE DNA Project Group is taking advantage of a substantial group discount. It also allows us access to the test results, so we can see whether each of the CRAIN/CRANE lines is related (or not related) to one another. At this time, participants may start with either the Y-DNA 12-marker test, which costs $99 (£53.96) + $2 (£1.09) shipping fee or the 25 marker tests which costs $169 (£92.11) plus $2 ( £1.09) shipping. If you start with 12 and upgrade to 25 markers later, it will incur an additional $90 (£41.05) fee. So by ordering the 25 marker test initially, you save $21 (£11.45). Upgrading from 25 to to 37 markers costs $59.00 (£32.16) more. If ordered intitially a full 37 markers cost $219.
