Background

The earliest Broach we can trace ourselves to so far is Abner Broach, born about 1761 in Chesterfield County, VA, died before 1809 in Darlington County, SC.  Abner was married twice: 1st to “Peanalipy” Surname unknown; 2nd to Sarah Perritt, unknown birth date, died 1860.  Family lore indicates we are of Scottish heritage.
