Background

This project was started in an effort to determine the DNA signature of one or more Barringer (Baringer, Berringer and other variations) families, with the present group of participants being connected to the Barringer family of Chattanooga, TN. We hope that we will be able to connect other Barringer family lines existing in the United States.

We request that all new members submit a GEDCOM of their Barringer line from the person taking the test back to the earliest known Barringer ancestor so that we can attempt to join lines and find our common ancestors.
