This Project was originally formed to explore the following: Mormans said the Buck name had been changed1 to Back in the 1700's by John Buck. He had moved from Weathersfield, CT to Norwich, CT and could not find any records about him at Norwich.
That issue appears to have been resolved by a previous Project Administrator, that there was no connection found between the two families.
This project now welcomes anyone with the name BACK or BACH or who has a significant YDNA match to men with that surname.
