Over 40 years of research on the name Baber and Babers.
We have very early references to the name in 1277 in the county of Somerset, England and we hope to establish that all the Baber's in America are descendants of a Robert Baber who went to America from Somerset in August 1679.
The following apprenticed in Bristol to go to Virginia by the ship named the "Bristol Factor" ROBERT BABER to Thomas Foster, 4 years; Thomas Crispe to same, 4 years (BR)
This ROBERT BABER from Chew Magna starts the pedigee of the American BABER`s.
