The name Heagney seems to originate in Ireland and the family line I am studying includes name variants: Hageney, Hagney, Hegney, and Heagany. I may discover other name variants as well but for now, I'm limiting entry to this project to the spellings currently listed. There are some Hageney's from Germany as well that may be interesting to determine their origin and whether they have any connections to the Ireland Hageney line.
